I bought a 3-hp gamefisher motor. When I received it, I had to clean the carb. in order to get it to start. Once I did this, the motor started on the first pull each and every time. My son and I took it out and ran the motor all day fishing with no problems at all. Two weeks later (without being started), the motor will not start up again. The carb. still looks clean. Any suggestions.

I had one of those 3 horse gamefisher motors some years ago and the same thing happened. It was a quick fix once I stumbled on the simple solution. This may not be your problem, but loosening the airflow cap cured it. The darn thing couldn't suck the fuel. I felt a little dumb afterwards but I was happy to find there was nothing really wrong with the motor. Maybe you're not as dumb as me, but let's hope so for your sake- thing ran great until the day it was stolen. Good Luck, Steve
